Kid’s Saturdays: Here Comes Spring!
A drop-in program geared to families with young children. Adults and children will explore hands-on learning activity stations and go on a Museum scavenger hunt together. Craft quantities are limited. No pre-registration necessary. FREE.
Solar Eclipse Watch Party
Borrow free safety glasses for a look at the partial solar eclipse on the Museum Plaza. Attendees may bring blankets, lawn chairs, and lunch to the event. FREE.
Books and Bingo
Families with elementary-aged children are invited to play a museum-inspired game of bingo, pick up a free book, and enjoy snacks while supplies last. A storytelling hour will be held at noon with special guest readers. Presented by the Sioux City Community School District, Sioux City Public Schools Foundation, and Sioux City Public Museum.

Day of the Dead Celebration/Celebración del Día de los Muertos
A family event featuring youth dancers, face painting, and activities for children. La Perla Tapatia, a dance group from Irving Elementary School, will perform.
Performances by Mariachi Reyes del Oeste from Denison, Iowa and the Morningside Spanish Club Reader’s Theater.

Sioux City History Projects Exhibit Reception
An event honoring local fourth-grade students participating in the 32nd annual Sioux City History Projects exhibition on display March 11-May 6. The reception is followed by an awards ceremony at 2:15 pm. Admission is free.
