September 26 is We Want More History! Day, a coordinated national day of programming creating a shared national experience. The Museum will be joining the celebration by hosting a downtown walking tour to explore Sioux City’s historic architecture, led by Tom Munson, Archives Manager.

The tour will begin at 1:00 on September 26 on the Museum lawn. During the approximately 75-minute tour, Munson will highlight the important architectural features and history of downtown Sioux City buildings, including the Warrior Hotel, Davidson Building, and County Courthouse.  The tour will cover approximately 8 city blocks, and will proceed at a leisurely pace.  Participants are welcome to join or leave the tour as needed.
