Sioux City's telecommunication history featured in new exhibit

Sioux City was considered an important regional communications hub for more than a century.

Indeed, the community was among the earliest Iowa cities to adopt telephone service. We've been staying in touch since 1880, which was a mere four years after Alexander Graham Bell was awarded his first U.S. patent on the telephone.
