New Sioux City Public Museum explores the Declaration of Independence in today's world

SCJ - Rachelle Barnum is a self-admitted "history nerd" and the West High School teacher can even pinpoint the event that inspired her need for knowledge.

"I was six years old when America celebrated its 200th birthday 50 years ago," she remembered. "My Girl Scout Brownie troop was doing several Bicentennial-related events, and I even got the chance to visit the Freedom Train when it came to town."
