Day of the Dead/Fall Fest Program: Legend of the Cempasúchil (Marigold)

A bilingual children’s program featuring the reading of Child of the Flower-Song People, a readers theater with stick-figure puppets, and making cempasúchil (marigold) paper flowers.

Marigolds are used on many Day of the Dead altars.

During Museum opening hours on Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. visitors may make paper flowers to take home and to be included in the upcoming Day of the Dead altar display.
