Black History Month series continues with personal story of life in Sioux City

The third in the series of Black History Month programs features Dr. Grady L. Bluford sharing his personal story about life in Sioux City. The Tuesday Twilight Talk, “Living and Growing Up Colored in Sioux City” will be held on Tuesday, February 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Sioux City Public Museum.

Popular Museum children’s program is now free

A popular Sioux City Public Museum program for children ages 3-5 is now free. The next session of Kids’ Clues will be held on Thursday, February 11 at 10 a.m. with the theme “Happy Valentine’s Day.”

Exhibit explores Siouxland’s native peoples

Pottery remnants, projectile points, stone and animal bone tools, colorful quill and beadwork, and original artwork are featured in Siouxland's First Peoples: 1100 to 1800 A.D. now on display at the Sioux City Public Museum.
